The 2008 Robert Birle Memorial Dinner
A NEW RENAISSANCE

The NEA/RA 2008, scheduled for Washington D.C., is fast approaching, and plans are underway for one of the most popular annual events sponsored by NEA-GLBTC: The Robert Birle Memorial Dinner. This year’s theme for our gala event is “A New Renaissance” commemorating our work for GLBT rights and our hope for the future.
    The NEA-GLBTC Annual Dinner will take place in the Grand Ballroom at the Renaissance Hotel at 999 Ninth St NW, Washington DC, 20005 on Saturday July 5, 2008. 
This gala evening will begin with a no-host cocktail reception from 6:30 to 7:30 PM, and dinner will be served promptly at 7:30 PM.  During the evening, the Carol Watchler Award for workto end injustice and prejudice based on sexual orientationand the Ryan White award for work in the field of HIV/AIDS services and awareness will be presented.

Once again, we will have dancing immediately following the dinner from approximately 10 PM to midnight.

     We have raised availability from 600 to 700 tickets for this event.  The dinner is ALWAYS a sellout. Tickets, if any, not sold in advance will be available for sale at the NEA-GLBTC Booth.  The tickets will be $70.00 at the GLBTC Booth and at NEA-GLBT Caucus Meetings... Convention Center 147A on Tuesday, 150AB Wednesday through Saturday. This event is always sold out! It will definitely be an event worth remembering and one that you do not want to miss.
